NY DFS Issues Extension to File Certification of Compliance

NYS DFS Extended Filing Deadline in Wake of Covid-19

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) has extended the filing deadline for the Certification of Compliance under NY's Cybersecurity Rule 23 NYCRR 500 to June 1, 2020. 

Regulated entities under New York’s Cybersecurity Rule originally would have had to file no later than April 15, 2020 for the 2019 calendar year but now with the extension covered entities have been given and extension until no later than June 1, 2020.

All filings can and should be filed electronically via the DFS’ Web Portal
