Delaney Computer Services, Inc. has a notary public on staff and offers notary public services to benefit our local businesses and residents in need of notary public services in the Northern New Jersey and Hudson Valley of NY. Notary public services are generally available on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM at our Mahwah NJ office. However, the notary may not always be available, so an appointment may typically required by calling ahead or clicking here to book an appointment
Q: What is a Notary Public?
A: Notaries serve as impartial witnesses to the signing of documents, attest to the signature on the document, and may also administer oaths and affirmations.
Q: Does DCS offer remote E-Notary Services?
A: Yes, we do. DCS now can perform remote notarizations for New York businesses and residents due to the Covid-19 Executive Order 202.7, which authorizes Notary Services via Audio-Video technology

See the following notary service guidelines:
- Notary Service is $2.50 per page. Only cash or certified check are accepted
- Only documents in English will be notarized
- All forms and documents must be complete before being notarized. Form with blank spaces cannot be notarized.
- A valid, government-issued photo identification (e.g., photo driver’s license, passport) is required from any customer seeking notary service and from their witness.
- Only original documents or certified copies can be notarized.
- Documents cannot be copied and certified as “true copies.”
In situations where a witness is required, the person requesting notary services must witness who personally knows the individual requesting the service. The witness must bring government-issued photo identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport). Delaney Computer Services, Inc, staff cannot act as a witness.
New Jersey law requires that a Notary and the customer seeking notarization communicate directly with each other.
In accordance with New Jersey Notarial Law, notaries will not provide service if the customer, document, or circumstances of the request for notary service raise any issue of authenticity, ambiguity, doubt, or uncertainty for the notary. In this event, the notary may decline to provide notary service at his/her sole discretion.
