StorageCraft ShadowProtect is a fast and reliable Disaster Recovery, data protection, and system migration for Windows servers, desktops, and laptops. ShadowProtect provides a disk-based backup that captures full, differential, and incremental point-in-time backup images of an entire system: OS, applications, configuration settings, and data. Choose from a number of flexible recovery options – bare metal recovery, recovery to similar hardware, dissimilar hardware or virtual environments, or ultra-rapid granular recovery of individual files and folders.

ShadowProtect provides a breakthrough in disk-based recovery with ShadowProtect’s built-in VirtualBoot™ technology. Simply right-click on any ShadowProtect backup image and automatically boot that backup to a virtual machine in just 3-5 minutes. Or you can convert a ShadowProtect backup image to a ".VHD" or ".VMDK" with the included virtual converter.

ShadowProtect maximizes Business Continuity even further with HeadStart Restore™, which begins the restoration process immediately, before disaster strikes. Since the recovery window is eliminated, recovery takes minutes, rather than hours or days. For added safety, ShadowProtect includes replication technology to store backups to an off-site location.

In addition, ShadowProtect has a number of management tools. The ShadowProtect management console is included, allowing you to simultaneously push install ShadowProtect to all systems, check the status of your backups, and create groupings for simplified management. In addition, ShadowProtect ImageManager allows you to automatically consolidate backup image files, verify and re-verify backup images and set up notification to track the status of your backup jobs.

  • Recovery - ShadowProtect provides rapid re­covery a number of ways, including full bare metal recovery through a bootable recovery CD. Also, recover to similar hardware or recover to dissimilar or virtual environments with Hard­ware Independent Restore (HIR).
  • File and Folder Recovery - Quickly browse to specific files and folders in your point-in-time backup images to perform granular recovery of your data.
  • VirtualBoot - Right-click any ShadowProtect Server point-in-time backup image and auto­matically boot it as a virtual machine.
  • Management Console - ShadowProtect’s man­agement console allows you to simultaneously push install ShadowProtect Server to all of your Windows servers. Check the status of your system backups and create groupings for simplified management.
  • ShadowProtect ImageManager - Automatically consolidate backup image files, verify and re-verify the integrity of backup image files and create notification jobs to track the status of backups.
