Have you ever wondered how to take a screenshot on Android devices? The process can be confusing because the process often varies from phone to phone. In this guide, however, we will show you step-by-step how to take a screenshot on five of the most popular Android devices. 

 

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 4

How To Take a Screenshot on Android Devices

To take a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 4, simply hold the Power and Home buttons as shown in the diagram. If done correctly with your sound on, you should hear a shutter sound when the screenshot is taken.

2. Samsung Galaxy S5

To take a screenshot on the Galaxy S5, hold the Power and Home buttons as shown in the diagram. As with Galaxy Note 4, you should hear a shutter sound when the screenshot is taken. The Power-Home screenshot method is uniform across most Samsung Galaxy devices.

3. Motorola Nexus 6

To take a screenshot on the Nexus 6, hold the Power and Volume Down buttons as shown in the diagram. You should hold these buttons for about two seconds until the screenshot is taken.

4. OnePlus One

OnePlus One

To take a screenshot with the OnePlus One, hold the Power and Volume Down buttons as shown in the diagram. You should hold these buttons for about three seconds until the screenshot is taken.

5. HTC One M8

HTC One M8

To take a screenshot with the One M8, hold the Power and Volume Down buttons as shown in the diagram. Hold these buttons until the screenshot is taken.

 

Note: This guide is meant for Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and above. If your device is running an older version of the Android OS, you may be unable to take a screenshot without the assistance of additional applications.
