Headline Tag

A Headline Tag often appears at the top of a web page's content, in a larger, bolder type style. Headline tags are often defined using CSS with the label h1, h2, and so forth (through h6). Headline tags might also be custom tags, designated with the CSS attribute "class."

Search Engines recognize and give extra importance to headline tags. Since they are more prominent, they indicate additional Relevance. For headline tags to keep that relevance, they must match the other tags on the page, including the title tag, Body Tag, and Alt Tag.
