Block Hours

Block Hours are a type of business model used by IT companies to service their clients. In the Block Hours model, the client can either contact the vendor when they suspect there is an issue with their equipment, or the Block Hour arrangement can include stipulations for regular maintenance. Under this arrangement, when compared with the Break/Fix model, clients will often receive some amount of savings and priority service for services under contract. When compared with managed services, the client still needs to attend to their network infrastructure with diligence, as only those things expressly written to be included in the agreement are attended to without the client's prodding.
